What I'm Doing Here

I am spending July through December studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile! I live in nearby Viña del Mar with a host family. My host family consists of a single mother named Marisol, and her two daughters, Catalina and Paulina. My classes are split between Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, and Universidad Técnica Federico de Santa Maria.

I am studying abroad through the wonderful Institute for Study Abroad-Butler with 17 other American students from all over the country--some are here for five months, others for the year, and some are heading off into other study abroad excursions in the Spring. It is a fantastic group to be spending five months with, and everyone brings something different to the table.

This should be one of those once in a lifetime, perspective changing, culturally eye opening experiences, and I can't wait to see everything that Chile has to offer!
